Abigail's Surgery

On Good Friday Abigail had surgery to remove her tonsils, adenoids and tubes put in her ears. We took her to an ENT because we felt she had trouble hearing. Sure enough she had a hearing loss due to lots of infection in both ears. He also hold us that her tonsils were very large and told us that annoying "habit" she had of chewing her meat to smitherines and then spitting it out, wasn't a habit. It was because she couldn't swallow. He suspected with tonsils that large she would have very large adenoids, and sure enough they were huge. Which explained the horrible infection in both ears. So overall, it was a very good decision to do the surgery. She was a real trooper, and handled her pain well. And we have already seen the improvements and changes.

Getting ready for surgery.

She got to color her ice pack that she would so desperately want after surgery.

Her teddy bear and Checkers the pink elephant from Mercy Hospital.

On the way!!

After surgery.

Getting ready to go home!!!
